I just wanted to pass on a couple of links that show small, affordable, "transportable" houses. Jay Shafer's designs are really well thought out. As extremely small as the houses seem, they actually feel bright and spacious inside. I have been inside several now. The first link is to the company website and the second link is a gallery of interior shots of a Tumbleweed house. Just goes to show, small spaces can be kind of swanky. BTW, I dont' work for, nor am I affiliated with the company, I just find the small living concept extremely appealing from my anti-consumer standpoint and green sensibilities. There's another link on my page that I haven't copied here to a much larger modular home designed to be completely off the grid. Cheers.
